Our veterans served this country. They deserve a home they can be proud of. That belief is why Series of Solutions (SOSv) exists.

SOSv is a St. Louis nonprofit founded in May 2025 by SoJa, our Founder and CEO. Our mission is simple: develop and support permanent housing for veterans, including veterans experiencing homelessness. In our new introduction video, SoJa shares the vision behind the work. This post walks through what we're building and how you can help.

Why Arlington Avenue

We're focused on the Arlington Avenue corridor in St. Louis, between Page Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard. Today this area lacks housing, medical care, food access, jobs and entertainment.

Permanent housing for veterans is badly needed here. We see this neighborhood as a place where veterans can put down roots and help bring the street back to life.

Phase I: Veteran Container Homes

Our first project is a community of container homes for veterans at 1402–1420 Arlington Avenue and 5369 Ridge Avenue. When finished, it will be the first veteran container-home community in the St. Louis area.

Each home is built from stacked 40-by-10-foot shipping containers. A buildout along one side adds a balcony, style and about 150 extra square feet. Every resident will have 500 to 525 square feet of their own space.

The plan calls for seven homes: three along Arlington Avenue and four along the rear of the site.

A team of local professionals has donated their time to design the project, including Remiger Design, Webb Engineering, JE Foster, Silverlining, Spiegelglass and Ocheja Engineering.

More Than Housing

A home is the foundation, but we're building a whole community. The full Arlington Avenue development is planned to bring:

  • Veteran housing

  • Jobs and new businesses that hire veterans

  • Medical assistance

  • Resource assistance

  • Entertainment

We're also working with partners who share our mission. The Veterans Community Project in St. Louis gives veterans tiny homes for 12 to 18 months, plus benefits navigation, career coaching and emergency help. SOSv is designing the next step: a permanent home where veterans can keep living and thriving.

In addition, we're in conversation with The Kaufman Fund, which helps veterans with food, shelter, clothing and medical care. Together we're planning a satellite office so residents can reach their support close to home.

How You Can Help

Our goal is to raise $3.17 million to build Phase I. That covers everything from permits and site work to construction, finishes, landscaping, sidewalks and lighting.

Your support also helps keep rent within reach for our residents, so the community stays strong for years to come. Every gift, partnership and share brings us closer to giving our veterans a place they're proud to call home.

Thank you for standing with St. Louis veterans.
